Pensoft to host science communication training at 5th ESP Europe conference in Wageningen
Pensoft Publishers will participate in the 5th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) Europe Conference, taking place from November 18-22 in Wageningen, The Netherlands. The event, themed "Ecosystem Services: One Planet, One Health," will explore how the concept of ecosystem services can address the interconnected challenges of human, animal, plant, and environmental health.
The ESP, a global network that unites ecosystem services researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, has been organizing international conferences since 2008.
As part of its involvement, Pensoft will host a pre-conference training session on November 17. Titled “Innovative Tools for Science Communication: How to Increase Your Research Impact,” the session will highlight the importance of effective science communication in enhancing research visibility and impact. Participants will gain insights into best practices for communicating scientific results, with a focus on open science and the role of open-access publishing in promoting transparency and reusability.
In addition to its extensive publishing work, Pensoft will also draw on examples from its portfolio of key EU research projects involved in biodiversity, ecosystems, agriculture, and pollinators. Overall, the session will provide an in-depth look into the interlinkage between effectively communicated research outputs and the benefits of openly published data.
