Pensoft to participate in the SERE2026 conference

28 July 2026

Pensoft will participate in the 15th European Conference on Ecological Restoration (SERE2026), taking place from 24 to 28 August 2026 in Brest, France.

The conference is organised by the University of Brest (UBO), in collaboration with the French Ecological Restoration Network (REVER) and the European Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER-Europe).

As with all SER conferences, the main objective of this 15th edition is to share knowledge and strengthen links between stakeholders in ecological restoration. The programme will focus on strategies for restoring ecological networks, marine and coastal ecosystems, and wetlands, alongside discussions on the implementation of European Nature Restoration legislation and National Restoration Plans.

On site, Pensoft will be easy to spot at its dedicated exhibition stand, showcasing its extensive range of publications and services, with a particular focus on its ecology journals. Among the titles on display will be some of Pensoft's diamond open-access journals, including Agricultural and Environmental ModellingIndividual-Based Ecology, and Advances in Pollinator Research. Pensoft will also present its ARPHA Publishing Platform, which offers end-to-end publishing solutions for scholarly journals, books, and conference abstracts. Attendees will also be able to browse Pensoft's diverse selection of books, covering a wide range of ecological and environmental topics.

In addition, Pensoft will showcase its involvement in several ecological projects. As an active consortium member, Pensoft leads the communication, dissemination and exploitation activities of the EU-funded projects SpongeBoost and FERRO. SpongeBoost aims to enhance the natural "sponge" function of wetlands and soils across Europe, in line with EU policies on climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and biodiversity. FERRO, meanwhile, tackles lake eutrophication across Europe by developing circular, nature-based solutions for nutrient removal, recovery, and reuse.
